Frequently Asked Questions
How much do the classes cost?
All classes are $100 per person, for a 4-6 hour session. If you need to borrow equipment (including the firearm), that is included in the class for free. Ammo is not included in the class fee, but can be purchased through me at regular retail prices, if necessary.
***For a limited time, 3 students, taking the same class at the same time, can take the class for the price of 2 ($200 for 3 people)***
How many students are in each class?
Classes are limited to 5 students at most, so that each student can get the individual attention that they deserve.
What if I want a class that is not on the schedule?
In addition to the published 2023 class schedule, we also offer private training, as available, throughout the year. Let us know the class and what dates works best for you and we will do our best to accommodate.
What if I don't own a gun yet?
If you don't already own a gun, we recommend you try out one of ours first. We have several to chose from, plus all the other gear needed to accommodate up to 3 students in the same class.
What if I don't want to shoot any guns?
The Intro to Firearms class does not require any shooting, although it is recommended. We have no problem with you taking that class, or any of the classes, without firing a single round if you'd prefer. The CCW Class does require shooting a minimum of 100 rounds. The other courses can also be given in a reduced round-count format if ammunition availability is a concern, and we can utilize other methods of ammo conservation such as .22 caliber conversions, Airsoft substitutions, and dry practice.
What gun should I buy?
If you don't already own a gun, we recommend you try one of ours in our class first. Guns come in many different sizes and with a variety of features. People often purchase a gun that looks good, but does not fit them well or work well for them, and then find that they need to buy a better suited gun after taking a class. We have a variety handguns, shotguns, and defensive rifles to choose from and will help you find the right fit for you. Just be sure to let us know you need to borrow a gun for your class when you register and we'll bring a few to chose from.
What other equipment do I need for class?
If you are borrowing equipment from us, you do not need anything additional, other than the ammunition required for class. If you do not have any ammunition, we have some set aside specifically for students that can be purchased for that particular class.
If you are bringing your own gun you will need the following additional equipment:
What if I cannot find any ammunition at the store because it is all sold out?
Let us know and we can provide some ammo for you for the class at regular retail prices.
Sorry, but ammunition sales are only for use in the class. We do not sell ammunition for use outside the class at this time.
What if I have questions during class?
Please feel free to interrupt and ask at any time, whether in the classroom or out on the ranges.
