Defensive Shotgun:
This class is an entry-level course geared primarily around the pump-action shotgun, however all shotgun types will be discussed.

This course is designed to teach you how to run your your shotgun (and keep it running) for home defense.
In this class you will learn:
Safe gun handling
Parts and functions of your shotgun
Shotgun types and ammunition selection
Loading and unloading of the shotgun
Proper stance and "Ready" positions
The effects of different distances when using a shotgun
Home defense specifics for using a shotgun
Engaging a threat from 5 to 25 yards
How to deal with multiple threats
Alternate shooting positions
The use of cover and concealment
(Note: this class requires a minimum of 50 rounds of #8 bird shot, 20 rounds of 00 buckshot, and 10 rounds of slugs )
